On September 14-16 this year, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to our country.

In accordance with the program of the stay in the city of Samarkand, the bilateral events will be held at the highest level.

During the negotiations, the issues of further strengthening the friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership, expanding the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries will be considered.

Traditionally, the focus will be on the practical aspects of interaction, as well as the issues of promoting the joint projects, primarily in trade, investment, industrial cooperation, energy, transport, innovation, «green» and digital economy, and the programs in the field of healthcare, education and culture.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and China will also exchange views on the current international and regional agenda. Following the meeting, it is set to sign a Joint Statement and a solid package of agreements.

On September 15-16, Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend in the events of the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
